Entanet and Enta Technologies share in 2010 PCR Awards finalist nominations - Jan 2010
Leading voice and data communications provider Entanet and distributor Enta Technologies have been named finalists in this year’s PC Retail Awards.
The PC Retail Awards represent the entire IT channel with a total of 16 awards up for grabs which are split into three sectors to reward the best from the channel’s front line, distributor and vendor communities. Commenting on Entanet’s nomination for PCR Specialist Vendor of the Year, Entanet’s Head of Marketing, Darren Farnden said: “It’s great to be chosen as a finalist in these awards. It recognises Entanet’s ongoing commitment to its wholesale and resale channel partners and reaffirms our position as a leading voice and data communications provider.
“Over recent years we’ve been significantly involved in the development and implementation of BT’s 21CN and currently remain the only non-BT company to have fully invested in Wholesale Broadband Connect, the platform via which communications providers deliver connections onto their own networks. This required massive investment into creating our own next generation network but enabled us to become the first provider to launch 21CN based ADSL2+ services and so provide our channel partners with a unique market opportunity.”
This latest nomination adds to Entanet’s growing list of accolades which include acknowledgement as the UK’s 61st fastest growing privately owned technology company in the Sunday Times Techtrack 100 and confirmed by its inclusion in the Tech Media Invest Top 100, the Deloitte Fast 500 EMEA and numerous other channel awards programme nominations.
Meanwhile Enta Technologies, Entanet’s sister company, has been nominated in the following three categories for the 2010 PCR Awards: Distributor – Sales Team; Distributor – Marketing & PR; and Distributor of the Year. On this achievement Farnden comments: “This is fantastic news because it clearly demonstrates consistency throughout the Entagroup business in our approach to serving our channel partners. Enta Technologies deserves to be shortlisted for these awards because its teams have shown a real passion for serving the channel over the past year. You don’t achieve these nominations without having proved your worth.”
