  • Entanet releases new evening-friendly Dusk till Dawn broadband package for less than a tenner

Leading wholesale voice and data communications provider, Entanet, has announced a new £9.99 RRP ADSL/ADSL2+ broadband package for its reseller partners to sell to customers expecting to use more bandwidth from early evening until early morning during the week and across the entire weekend.

The new package, known as Dusk till Dawn, is charged at a recommended retail price of £9.99 including VAT and provides end users with uncharged bandwidth from 7:00pm, some five hours earlier than its standard ‘Family’ packages. End users’ bandwidth remains uncharged until 7:00am and across all of the weekend. Between 7:00am and 7:00pm Monday to Friday, a 1GB monthly bandwidth allowance is included. The product is available to order from Monday 5th December on new connections and on a 12 month contract.

Also, bandwidth in the uncharged period is not rate-limited if the daytime allowance is used up. While Entanet’s usual traffic management policy and Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) do apply to the Dusk till Dawn package, no Fair Use Policy (FUP) is applied. Customers will be able to continue enjoying free bandwidth use unhindered, even if they consume all of their daytime bandwidth allowance. Meanwhile, they can buy extra daytime bandwidth, if necessary, by way of top-ups or by setting an expenditure limit.

Commenting on the new package, Entanet’s Head of Marketing, Darren Farnden, said: “We wanted to give resellers a product that better suits customers who use little bandwidth during the day but expect to use more from early evening onwards, as well as across their weekends. We also wanted to provide a product at a very competitive price that retains the quality that we’re known for. We believe too that Dusk till Dawn will help resellers build good long-term business, because of its 12 month contract.”

Like Entanet’s other connectivity services, the new package will be delivered across its pioneering next generation network which has been expanded to utilise all of BT’s 21st Century network nodes as part of the company’s adoption of Wholesale Broadband Connect (WBC). Entanet remains the only non-BT provider to have fully adopted WBC, which gives the company more flexibility and the ability to adapt its packages – as it has done to create the Dusk till Dawn offering – to meet changing customer needs. Entanet has created a special web page – www.dusktilldawnbroadband.co.uk where resellers can get more details.
